Physician Assistant, Clinical Research
Dorr Institute for Arthritis Research and Education

A native Texan, LeighEllen has been in the Research Department of the Arthritis Institute since September 2001. The intent on teaching history and political science after her graduation from the University of North Texas changed after working in a local Orthopedic Practice during her senior year of college. Orthopedics and trauma became a new career focus after college in 1991. In addition to her graduating from the City of Dallas Paramedic Program, Ms. Sirianni became a Board Certified Orthopedic Physician's Assistant at Baylor University Medical Center in 1996. She worked in the clinic and Operating Room of specialty orthopedic practices in both community hospitals and Level One Trauma Centers in North Texas. She became an Orthopedic Casting Technical Consultant for 3M in 1996 and 1997 and served as Vice-President of the Texas Associations of Orthopedic Technologist from 1995-1997.

After relocating in Southern California, LeighEllen returned to her history and academic roots at the Arthritis Institute when she was hired as a Research Physician's Assistant to the practice. Using her clinical background along with her love of books and research, LeighEllen now directs the clinical aspect of the Research Department in conjunction with Dr. Zhinian Wan, Dr. Dorr's long time Research Specialist.
